Welcome to Nort Neuk. Meaning North Corner in the local dialect, Nort Neuk is a traditional Shetland cottage, sleeping four, built in the late 1800’s, most recently the home of a Master Mariner, who returned home to his native Shetland to retire. The cottage has recently been stylishly renovated and extended, retaining its original charm and character whilst providing excellent accommodation and facilities. Its location is very sheltered, tucked in under the hill, amongst the jumble of village houses but with open countryside to the north, a few minutes walk from the beach and with easy access to miles of fine coastal walks. Situated
in the quiet village of Hoswick in the South Mainland of Shetland
North Neuk is a self catering holiday
cottage offering stylish accommodation, sleeping up to four pople.
The village lanes go down to the beach and there are plenty of
unrestricted coastal walks in the area. Hoswick is part of the
wider community of Sandwick with a shop and community facilities
within easy reach. Nort Neuk is located 20 minutes drive south
of the island’s
capital and only town, Lerwick, and 20 minutes drive north of the
airport at Sumburgh.
We are conveniently situated to explore the many beaches, spectacular
coastline and rich heritage of the south of Shetland and also within
easy reach of the rest of the Shetland mainland and the islands. |
